NUH ANKARA MAKARNA
In 1940, a grocery store opened in Ulus Hal with the brothers Nuh – Ahmet Eskiyapan brothers and Kemal Yurtabilir selling foodstuffs. At that time, due to the lack of such stores and the service provided, it soon became a busy place for the elders of the state to shop. The idea is to produce pasta on sale of pasta up to 6 tonnes at their own stores. The first factory was established in 1950 in Ulus Rüzgarlı street. Starting with 6 tons, manufacturing does not grow on increasing demand, it is entered into search for alternative production place. Due to the fact that the place where the production was done was not suitable for the capacity, it is decided to establish a modern factory suitable for the technology of time on the land taken in İskitler in 1955. In 1956, the plant started production at a capacity of 20 tons per day. The factory was opened by an elite group including the President, Prime Minister, Trade Minister, Minister of Finance and senior bureaucrats. The production made with the brand “Ankara Makarna” has been transformed into “Noah’s Ankara Makarnası” which was built in 1961 in memory of Nuh ESKIYAPAN from its founders.
