Being an adorable town of Beysehir district, Huglu was founded on a rocky and non-agricultural area at the height of 1410 m on Taurus Mountains which is 32 km away from Beysehir and 126 km away from Konya. Some part of Turkish nomads arriving from Central Asia in the VI. century and engaged in agriculture settled in Huglu in the XIII. century whereas some other part settled in Fıgla village located within the provincial borders of Antalya. The people of Huglu are intrinsically artistic. They initially produce horse and ox carts, water pumps and watermills and sold them out both to the surrounding area and to members of caravans passing by there. Following the Balkan War, they started to repair and manufacture riffles. Being a product of skilful formation and combination of iron and walnut tree and artistic skill and careful processing, Huglu riffle gained appreciation for long years. Huglu is a peaceful Anatolian town with its patriot, hardworking, artistic but modest community.
